Blick is a Swiss German-language daily newspaper, published by Ringier in Zurich.
Established in 1959, it was the first Swiss tabloid. The new format induced controversies: protests began and many boycotted the scandalous newspaper. It was nevertheless a huge financial success, and remained so.
As of 2004, it had a daily circulation of 275,000 and a readership of 750,000. Only the free daily newspaper 20 Minuten has a higher circulation in Switzerland. The Sunday edition Sonntagsblick has had a circulation of 300,000.
